he came home!

So good news — my dad is home! He’s doing well, and it seems every­thing is under con­trol. Turns out he has shin­gles, and prob­a­bly a sec­ondary infec­tion which caused the other issues/symptoms. He satyed in the hos­pi­tal for around 36hrs or so,and had a cou­ple rounds of antibi­otics along with see­ing a few dif­fer­ent doc­tors, includ­ing an infec­tious diease doctor.

At first they thought there was a pos­si­bil­ity that it was MRSA, so he was some­what iso­lated and we had to “gown up” in order to even be in the room with him yes­ter­day. That was quite a sight to se, but it added a lit­tle humor to the whole thing. I must say though, my dad seemed like he was in good spir­its the time I spent with him at the hospital.

But now he’s home safe & sound, with just a cou­ple pre­scrip­tions. It turned out to be rather minor, but thanks so much for all the thoughts/prayers/good vibes — it meant a lot <3
